Cambridge Bicycle Custom Track
So the Cambridge crew asked for something special to be built up for
their "Nitto Gold" project.
Only the finest mix of Columbus tubes were used to build a true
velodrome frame. While the fork
received a very special pair of old stock Reynolds fork blades. All
expertly put together to provide
a stiff and strong platform capable of withstanding the demands of
the banked walls and a riders
powerful sprint. An artful use of stainless steel accents catches the
eye and draws it along the clean
lines. The top and bottom of the head-tube are ringed in stainless as
is the top of the seat-tube which
forms the handmade seat binder. Of course the drop-outs are stainless
too. Oh, and who could forget
the tops of the fork blades, those are capped in stainless as well.
They really illustrate the unique look
of the new england segmented fork crown. A clean, elegant and
undoubtedly high performance piece
of craftsmanship that surpassed all expectations.
When the guys assembled this frame with the limited run of gold NJS
track components it really did
become something special. Don't even get me started on the gold San
Marco Rolls saddle. What a bike!
