Forks
A word about forks: The fork on a bicycle is the leading edge of your ride; if it is not in line it will track the bike so that you have two separate gyroscopic planes. Your wheels will want to go their separate ways, especially on fast downhills, where a shimmy may be noticed. My forks are made to an exacting standard through a three step alignment process that results in plus or minus 0.25 mm tolerance. I am very proud of that. See the testimonial fan mail from the infamous Hillsboro, New Hampshire “Peddling Fool” himself, James McDonough.*

New For 2008
Reynolds 953 is the new super steel. Some of my customers have frames made of Aeromet 100, from about 12 years ago. Well, 953 is made by Carpenter Technologies and butted and drawn by Reynolds. It is a very precise tube set and does not need paint as it is a stainless steel. I have orders for frames out of this metal so watch the blog to see updates. The tube set is not cheap so I have to offer this in all bike styles starting at $2800.

Frame-sets
Subtract $50.00 from the fork price.
Frame + Fork - $50 = Frame-set price.

Custom Stems
After a few more requests I am offering stems again.
1” or 1 1/8” stem for road or mountain bars, any rise or reach (within reason) for threadless head sets start at $175.
If ordered with frame set, can be painted to match with up-charge. Separately black is the standard color.

Frame Fitting
For local customers, I can fit you here at the world headquarters on the Bernie Mikkelsen Sizer which accommodates a top-tube range of 46cm to 68cm.

Repair
Have an old high quality tig-welded frame that needs repair or modification? Call me up and let’s see if we can salvage that old friend. Would you like to turn that old hard-tail into a single speed? Add some disk mounts? Looking for a road to cyclo-cross conversion? Send over that 27" frame for some canti-mounts.

Prototyping
If you have a design that needs to be realized in steel, stainless steel, or titanium I can be of service. Let my two decades of machine shop expertise see your project through its initial construction. Consultation for fabrication feasibility: Will your design translate to the machine shop environment? Essentially, have you designed something that is beyond standard manufacturing techniques? A relatively short conversation could save you a great deal of hassle further into the process.

Soft Goods

New Blog: www.bikesareborn.blogspot.com
I have now entered the digital world and have a blog thing. I will try to post what is going on in the shop, sometimes it might not be up to date but it will show snap shots of stuff in the works. I have capable help from Andy Sanidas who is a killer single speed endurance racer and blog master (at www.andysanidas.blogspot.com), and he is fast too.

Teams
Igleheart is represented on the cyclo-cross circuit by the Cambridge Bicycle ‘cross team. This great gang of riders pedal and run their hearts out and have a blast doing it. See them ‘cross at an event near you.

Cambrige Bicycle also hosts a track team at New Hampshire Velodrome and will be riding the AEther track frame set this season. Look for the hot green team paint and an exciting show will be had.

Testimonial verbatim from a true mountain biker extraordinaire:

“The Fork Is Great!!! Light, supple, and styling. I like the understated black finish. It works in so many situations. Tight twisty single track, bone breaking rock gardens, high speed gonzo gravity sessions, flowing Zen-like smooth sweeping sections, it even works in sketchy social situations i.e. black tie dinners, presidential garden meetings, and NASCAR traffic jams.

Thanks again
James McDonough”
